The Experimental Jam is a regular interdisciplinary event organized by the Experimental Munich platform that takes place every month in different dance spaces in Munich and will celebrate its 7th edition at the Lenbachhaus Kunstbau. It is an open gathering where performers from different artistic backgrounds come together with curiosity and interest in the investigations emerging from the experiment: dance, sound, visuals, text, new surroundings, and a desire to connect with others. It is a collective improvisation session where we figure things out through unknown encounters and collaborate to create new possibilities.
The first hour of the event is intended to get to know each other and do a physical warm-up together, followed by two hours of improvisation - this is when the general public can enter to witness the session. Any artist who works with performance can register to join this improvisation session by writing to experimental.jam.munich(at)gmail.com, and anyone curious to watch how performers work together through improvisation is welcome to attend as an audience member.
The event will be led by the dance artists Salomé Rodrigues, Angela Mössner and Kristina Trněný.
