The [?]-Lit Circle is transforming once again!

Accompanying "Hello, my name is Kunstbau." and Dan Flavin's "untitled, (for Ksenija)", we explored feminist perspectives on space, body, and sound in our "Space-Lit Circle". Now we are expanding the dimensions further! After Edmund Husserl and his desk gave us puzzles to solve at our last meeting, we are now looking at other objects and perspectives on them.
In the next two sessions, we will read the novel "Adas Raum" by Sharon Dodua Otoo. Afterwards, we will dive into the themes of Iman Issa's exhibition "Iman Issa. Lass uns Spielen" and read texts that revolve around the artist's work and objects.

Next dates:
Wednesday, December 17, 7–9 pm, Sharon Dodua Otoo "Adas Raum" Part 1 at glitch bookstore

Wednesday, January 28, 7–9 pm, Sharon Dodua Otoo "Ada's Room" Part 2 at glitch bookstore

About the Lit Circle

Our reading group continues—and transforms itself each time: into a Sci-Lit (science fiction), Sur-Lit (surrealist texts), or Space-Lit Circle.
Depending on the theme, we look at different literary forms. Once a month, we meet and read texts together that relate to current exhibitions at the Lenbachhaus or themes from the glitch cosmos. Poetry, novels, theory, comics – whatever appeals to us.
We read in German and English and usually speak in English – depending on the composition of the group.
It's a good idea to read the texts before the meeting. We only read small excerpts together and then engage in conversation.
Depending on the topic, the meetings take place either at the glitch bookstore or at the Lenbachhaus – sometimes we also visit exhibitions together if they are relevant to the literature.
If you would like to attend one or more meetings, please let us know so we can plan ahead.
Just send an email to: kunstvermittlung-lenbachhaus(at)muenchen.de.
You will receive all the information about the texts by email after registering.

We look forward to seeing you at the next Lit Circle!
