*A zine (/ziːn/ ZEEN; short for magazine or fanzine) is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine. Julia and Jakob will create a Zine with you in one day. Die_Redaktion is an open collective that invites people from 15 to 115 to find and express their social or political voice. Through productive exchange and the connecting of worlds of life and thought, a joint zine will be created. It can be written, glued, drawn, stamped, photographed, collaged - everything is allowed in zines.
These workshops focus on our surroundings. How do we understand public spaces and (how) do we want to influence them? What do they do to us and what can we do with them? We go outside and fill our inner thinking spaces with external impressions, which we put directly and bluntly into a joint zine. With Julia Richter and Jakob Weiß

Julia Richter is an art mediator and trend analyst in Munich. The trained fashion designer deals with social issues in her artistic and mediation work and translates these into sustainable, cross-generational mediation concepts and workshops that break down barriers and encourage joint exchange and collective work. At Lothringer 13 Halle, she has developed dialogical mediation formats for young people and young adults, the textile network “Knit or Knot”, the zine youth collective “Die_Redaktion” in collaboration with Jakob Weiß and the project “Arbeitslabor”. Long-term and sustainable exchange through collaborative work is one of the central concerns. Since 2024, she has also been working in the cultural department for the Rathausgalerie.

Jakob Weiß is an artist, musician and art mediator. He studied sculpture and art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In addition to art, he can be found behind the turntables at different events. His music project is called “blanc” and will soon be bringing new music to light. With the parking lot gallery “DAS TROTTOIR”, Weiß was also active as a curator and realized 13 exhibitions in public spaces. During his studies he already worked for the Refugio Kunstwerkstatt, where he now works full-time and coordinates and organizes numerous workshops for children and young adults with refugee experience. At Lothringer 13 Halle, he has been offering interactive exhibition tours for young people for three years, organizing the music series “Listening” and the zine format “Die_Redaktion” with Julia Richter.
