local dancing invites you to dance local dances together—for fun and accompanied by live keyboard music.

There is, for example, the 5-5-5-5-5 dance, the Summertime Sadness dance, the Fairydance, and the Procession Dance. Drawing on queer tradition and a specially invented instant tradition, local dancing imagines popular group dances that may have traveled through time and now appear in a non-binary and unpaired form. Without national ties, the dances pretend to be local, wherever they are. They give us a reason to come together and be held within the repetition and routine of a circular choreography.
