About the Lit Circle

Our reading group continues—and transforms itself each time: into a Sci-Lit (science fiction), Sur-Lit (surrealist texts), or Space-Lit Circle.
Depending on the theme, we look at different literary forms. Once a month, we meet and read texts together that relate to current exhibitions at the Lenbachhaus or themes from the glitch cosmos. Poetry, novels, theory, comics – whatever appeals to us.

We read in German and English and usually speak in English – depending on the composition of the group. It's a good idea to read the texts before the meeting. We only read small excerpts together and then engage in conversation. Depending on the topic, the meetings take place either at the glitch bookstore or at the Lenbachhaus – sometimes we also visit exhibitions together if they are relevant to the literature.

If you would like to attend one or more meetings, please let us know so we can plan ahead. Just send an email to: kunstvermittlung-lenbachhaus(at)muenchen.de. You will receive all the information about the texts by email after registering.

We look forward to seeing you at the next Lit Circle!
