On Saturday, 15 October, the "Lange Nacht der Museen" (English: "Long Night of Museums" ) once again invites visitors to take a nocturnal tour of art, culture, science and technology. From 6 pm to 1 am, around 80 Munich galleries, museums and other cultural institutions in Munich will open their doors for the "Lange Nacht" 2022.
Ticket sales will be handled exclusively via a centralised and personalised ticketing system. As always: with one ticket you can visit all the houses and use the MVG shuttle buses to travel from house to house. More information, the current programme and any changes can be found here.
Between 1918 and 1955, people in Germany were confronted with a series of historical turning points. Our exhibition brings into focus the lives and fates of artists during the Weimar Republic, under National Socialism, and in the young Federal Republic of Germany. The diverse works of art and biographies tell stories of careers that were thriving, and others that were temporarily disrupted or cut short, of resistance and adaptation, of persecution, exile, and murder.
