SymPOSIUM: »Clear the Air«

»Clear the Air«. Artist manifestos in choreography, performance art and the visual arts since the 1960s. In 1965, American dancer and choreographer Yvonne Rainer, a protagonist fo the so-called Postmodern Dance movement, formulated her now famous NO-Manifesto. In 13 radical lines, it negates everything that had been common and familiar in theater and dance. 50 years after Rainer's manifesto, the symposium is dedicated to the theory and practice of artistic and dance-related manifestos since the 1960s. An interdisciplinary symposium. In Munich from December 3 - 5, 2015; organized by Access to Dance in cooperation with the Bavarian State Ballet, LMU München (Department of Arts: Art History / Theater Studies) and the Städtischen Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau.
