The 38th International Documentary Film Festival DOK.fest München opens our eyes to the world: with 130 of the best and most current international documentaries from 55 countries. The programme brings together the highlights of current documentary filmmaking with top-class competitions, numerous specials and intensive film discussions. It takes place from 3 to 14 May.

In cooperation with DOK.fest, the film "Charlotte Salomon, Life and the Maiden", France 2023, directed by Delphine and Muriel Coulin, will be shown on a total of three evenings. The sisters have been working as a directing duo for over 20 years: Muriel Coulin works as a cinematographer, her sister Delphine also works as a novelist. "Charlotte Salomon, Life and the Maiden" is their third feature-length film. With the voices of Nathalie Richard, Vicky Krieps, Hanna Schygulla and many others, they bring the artist's work to life once again.

The film will be shown in the original English version with English subtitles in the Knorrsaal. Tickets are available exclusively through the DOK.festival.
