The Chinese Collective 无名画会 (Wuming Huahui / No Name Group) can be seen in the current exhibition "Group Dynamics – Collectives of the Modernist Period". We see many similarities and, of course, differences in the working method and group form between Wuming Huahui and Kollektiv Crèmbach. Both groups are characterized by the fact that their members set out in search of independent forms of artistic expression at an early age. Although in very different social contexts, both collectives are concerned with questioning definitions of culture in an established cultural environment and developing alternative perspectives. At our next "Crèmt Euch ein" event we will exchange with Wang Aihe and you how it is possible with artistic means to question our measurements. Those who feel like it can also be experiment practically.

Wang Aihe was part of Wuming Huahui. She studied in the U.S. in the 1980s and specialized in Chinese anthropology and history. She became the group's historian, documenting and writing texts about the collective's work. In 2009, she published the catalogue raisonné on 13 artists of the collective.

The conversation with Wang Aihe is part of the project Ohne Maßstab_No measurement_无刻度 (Wu Kedu), which we are implementing in collaboration with Charlotte Coosemans (art educator), Ruth Hahn (artist), Adam Langer (curator), and Ulrike Silz (designer) and many others as part of CAMP notes on education at documenta fifteen. The documenta is one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art and takes place every five years in Kassel. This year it will be held for the fifteenth time. CAMP notes on education is a project about art education.
