You already own an annual pass? Then you are welcome to book a free ticket with time slot in our online shop.

If you select to purchase a discounted ticket or for free admission, please remember to bring a valid ID and present it at the museum entrance. Please keep the ticket until you leave the exhibition rooms.

Please note, that subsequent returns, refunds or changes of time slots are not possible.

As of this year, the use of a 3DSecure 2.0 system for credit card payments is mandatory. Regardless of your TAN generator, the card must be activated for this function in your online profile. If you do not use online banking for your credit card, you need to contact your bank institute.

Annual pass: regular €20 / reduced €10

Annual passes are valid for twelve months, starting on a date chosen by you. It includes access to the collections and all temporary exhibitions.

Wearing a protective face mask (FFP2 or medical mask) is mandatory throughout the museum (for children from their sixth birthday). For children between the ages of six and 15, mouth and nose coverage is sufficient. Removing the face mask is permitted only as long as it is necessary to identify oneself or to communicate with someone with a hearing impairment.

Always keep sufficient physical distance of about 1,5 m from other visitors and members of our staff.

We recommend to stick to the designated paths through the galleries. Do not touch the artwork.

When using the elevators, please take care to keep the necessary distance and give priority to persons, who depend on this convenience. Use the stairs wherever possible.

Please follow the general hygiene regulations.

For your protection and the protection of our staff, we have stepped up all hygiene measures:

Plexiglass shields and/or masks are used at all points of contact with our staff.

All areas of the museum are cleaned and disinfected several times a day.

You will find soap and disinfectant in the washrooms.

Guided Tours

Guided tours are currently possible again on site. Further information and the digital request form can be found here.

Cloakroom

The cloackroom is closed, parts of the lockers can still be used so that visitors can keep the appropriate distance.

 

Audioguide online

You can install our audio guide for free as an app on your smartphone. The name of the app is "Lenbachhaus - Audioguide". A few tracks of the audio guide (in German and English) as well as the audio guide for kids (in German) are also available on our websites. It is currently possible to borrow the audio guide devices on site again, in compliance with increased hygiene measures. The offer is free of charge!

We currently offer events and group formats only in digital form. So be sure to drop by on our social media channels or subscribe to our newsletter.

 

Münter's House

The Münter-Haus in Murnau is open.

For reasons of safety the number of visitors will be reduced to 6 persons until further notice. We apologize for any delay in admission this may cause.

LENBACHHAUS

Visiting the museum
All parts of the Lenbachhaus are fully wheelchair-accessible. We recommend using the routes through the building indicated in a plan available at the museum’s cash desk. It details the easiest ways to access the various sections of the exhibition.

Parking
Two public handicapped parking spots are located on Luisenstraße.

Entrance
The main entrance offers barrier-free access. To enter the garden, you may use the gate from Luisenstraße. Ring the bell and the guard on duty will let you in.

Elevator
An elevator takes visitors directly from the atrium to the collections.

Wheelchairs and wheeled walkers
Several wheelchairs and wheeled walkers are available at the museum for our visitors. Please notify the visitors’ office by calling +49 89 233 32029, emailing us at fuehrungen-lenbachhausmuenchende, or let us know you would like to use a wheelchair or wheeled walker at the cash desk. Because some of our galleries are fairly small, we cannot offer folding chairs due to safety reasons. Seating furniture is installed in almost all galleries.

Bathrooms & Coat check
A fully accessible bathroom is located in the basement vis-à-vis the coat check. The coat check is located in the basement.

Seeing-eye Dogs
Registered seeing-eye dogs may be taken into the museum.

KUNSTBAU

Visiting the Kunstbau
The Kunstbau is located underground on the mezzanine level of the Königsplatz subway station. The gallery itself features level access and poses no obstacles to wheelchair or walking aid users.

Entrance
The entrance to the Kunstbau is accessible only via escalators from the Königsplatz subway station’s platform or from the square above. An elevator for visitors using wheelchairs or walking aids is located at Luisenstraße 29 (by the door of the “Rhaetenhaus” restaurant and the vocational school’s driveway). The elevator must be operated by museum staff. Please contact us by using the elevator’s intercom or let us know you will need the elevator by sending a companion to the Kunstbau’s cash desk or calling +49 89 233 32012. The elevator accommodates all conventional wheelchair sizes.

Wheelchairs and wheeled walkers
Several wheelchairs and wheeled walkers are available at the Kunstbau for our visitors. Please notify the visitors’ office by calling +49 89 233 32029 or emailing us at fuehrungen-lenbachhausmuenchende.

Bathrooms
A fully accessible bathroom is available.

Registered seeing-eye dogs may be taken into the museum.
