WAS TUN! PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS
Our art education program WAS TUN! is addressed to all primary and secondary school students. Many works on view in the exhibitions and presentations from the collection at the Lenbachhaus champion seemingly outlandish ideas, present most unconventional perspectives, and address sensitive issues. The uncomfortable questions they raise about history and society, art and culture, help us see the world with sharper eyes. Join our art educators and try to find your own answers to these questions. The events we organize in conjunction with special exhibitions at the museum experiment with new ways of looking at and creating art and blend learning with aesthetic experience.
The Lenbachhaus wants to make room for diverse novel and unfamiliar experiences. Immersion in collaborative projects can help young visitors gain direct and authentic access to art. That’s why we place value on the students’ active involvement; we believe children and teenagers bring valuable ideas to the encounter with art and hope to learn from them as well.
