A Slightly Different Tour: From playful directions to talking about art …?
Tue, April 3, 2018, 6pm

Do museums often leave you lost for words? The art doesn’t speak to you, or you draw a blank when you try to say something about it?

Then this interactive guided tour is for you! Join us for an exploration of the museum’s treasures in which we identify similarities as well as differences between nineteenth-century paintings, the postwar work of Joseph Beuys, and contemporary art, between yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

You won’t be told to accept prefabricated interpretations or asked to use a specific vocabulary to talk about art. We won’t meet you with readymade formulas. Instead, we’ll come together to put the works to the test and examine them from diverse and unexpected angles.

Playful interactive scenarios will help us establish a shared space for the conversation about art that has room for conflicting opinions and verbal sparring matches as well as harmonious consensus.

Activating the experiences you bring to the museum and the sensory impressions you receive here, our tour will buck the authority of professional expertise to initiate a process of seeing and talking and thinking about art together in a broad variety of perspectives.

Interactive guided tour with theatrical elements for adults.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Fee: 4 Euro / p.p. plus admission
